Faith, Hope, Charity

When Canmore was a mining town, Albert Rogers named these three peaks the “Three Nuns” after a winter storm left them snow-capped, resembling nuns in white veils. Later, a Canadian geologist and surveyor renamed them the Three Sisters. The individual peaks are known as Big Sister, Middle Sister, and Little Sister, or Faith, Hope, and Charity, respectively. The Three Sisters are the most recognizable peaks in Canmore and among the most unique in the Canadian Rockies.
