Mountain Lodge on Crescent Lake
My Alaskan adventure kicked off with a day trip to capture landscapes and photograph bears. A scenic 90-minute seaplane flight from Anchorage took us to Redoubt Mountain Resort, nestled by the tranquil Crescent Lake in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. The flight, offering breathtaking views of glaciers and volcanoes, was nothing short of stunning. The landing on Crescent Lake’s turquoise waters was equally spectacular. After a brief orientation, we boarded a pontoon boat with a local guide, who navigated us through remote areas of the nine-mile-long lake, searching for bears feasting on sockeye salmon. The surrounding mountains showcased the vibrant colors of Fall, contrasted by patches of snow that remain year-round.
