It was 8 p.m. when I walked across the bridge and around the patch of water to position myself in front of the lighted wooden structure. This welcoming little café is situated at the entrance of the Emerald Lake Resort in Yoho National Park, British Columbia. A few seconds later, the entire resort lit up, creating the most beautiful wonderland of lights. The café and surrounding trees were reflected in the body of water. I caught a glimpse of a vehicle around the left corner coming towards the bridge. This was my chance, and my heart was pumping. I quickly adjusted my settings to capture this moment. Several seconds later, my camera had captured the light from the moving vehicle, creating trail lights along the bridge. The ambiance captured and the feeling of exhilaration are just unforgettable.
